But as much as I love pumpkin picking, apple orchards, and Halloween events, sometimes I want something a little different – and that’s where the town of Osage comes in. A picturesque town of under 4,000 people, located in the very north of Iowa, Osage is home to a one-of-a-kind event. Autumn Artistry, a unique fall festival in Osage, Iowa, is home to displays from countless local artists and craftsmen every year. You can comb the stalls to find charming antiques, offbeat crafts, and delicious farm-fresh goods. Combine that with a beautiful environment and a delicious small-town bar and grill, it’s not hard to see why the “City of Maples” is quickly getting a reputation as one of Iowa’s best small towns.

Dozens of vendors sell antiques, crafts, and quirky fall specialties that are be guaranteed to put you in the season.
Maybe the best part is the wide variety of farm-fresh snacks, including chocolates, jams, and preserves.

If you didn't fill up at the festival, head to the town's most popular restaurant - the Teluwut Grille House, a small midwestern chain.
