Editor’s Note: Please note that Prairy Market and Deli has temporarily stopped serving sandwiches, but you can still pick up bread, freezer-ready meals, and freshly-prepared soups here. It’s a great place to stop by for a bite to eat!

Do you remember the days of heading down to the local general store to pick up everything you needed for the week? Maybe grab a bite to eat, groceries, and supplies all in one trip? Those days may be gone in most places (we do still have some general stores in Kansas!), but you can get a similar experience at Prairy Market and Deli in Newton, Kansas. You may occasionally see this spot referred to as Prairie Harvest – it’s a little shop on Main Street that sells locally-made foods and even has a deli inside that serves up some of the best freshly-baked bread in Kansas.
