If you’re looking for a great summer trail with wildflowers in Olathe, Kansas, you’ll definitely want to check out the Bittersweet and South Trail at Ernie Miller Park. This is a fantastic little nature center and trail system where you can escape into nature for a while at any time of year, but it’s especially beautiful in the summer when the park becomes filled with vibrant wildflowers, offering a wonderful explosion of color.

One of our favorite things about this trail is that it's a nice easy hike that just about anyone can enjoy. It's a 1.6-mile loop with minimal elevation gain.

This is such a wonderful summer trail with wildflowers in Olathe, Kansas!

One of the unfortunate parts about hiking in the summertime is the insects. Pick up some Sawyer insect repellent from REI before hitting the trail – it’ll protect you from fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes for up to eight hours.
