The drive from Kansas City to Denver is certainly a long one, but then again, so is any drive on I-70. Other than some absolutely stunning sunsets, sometimes the drive is uneventful and quite boring. Of course, there are many great places hiding out everywhere. Listed below are 16 things to see along I-70 in Kansas. We started the trip on the eastern side. However, you can also begin your trip on the western side. It’s a great trip either way!
1. Moon Marble Company - Bonner Springs

The Moon Marble Company in Bonner Springs is extra special. On certain days of the week, you can watch demonstrations of marbles being made by hand. They have so many marbles in store and plenty of vintage-style toys to make anyone feel nostalgic. Come check them out the next time you're in town.
2. Constitution Hall State Historic Site - Lecompton

The Constitution Hall State Historic Site is great for any history buff that's normally bored on road trips. They've got so much to teach, but how will you learn if you don't visit?
3. Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center - Topeka

Most of us have been to the zoo in Wichita or Kansas City, but how many of us have stopped to see some of the smaller zoos around Kansas like the Topeka Zoo?

The Rolling Hills Zoo is another amazing zoo that some people might have overlooked in their travels. If you're here for a while, checking out this zoo is a wonderful idea.
While you're in Salina, it's a good idea to grab a bag of burgers to go at The Cozy Inn. It's great food at a great price, and it's also perfect for road trips like these.
9. Midland Railroad Hotel - Wilson

Though you can stay at the Midland Railroad Hotel, it also features an amazing restaurant that's a great place to fill up after a long drive looking at roadside attractions along I-70.
In Lucas, if you need to take a quick bathroom break, why not at the Toilet Bowl Plaza a toilet-shaped public restroom? The sidewalk is even a concrete toilet paper roll, adding to this iconic spot in our favorite quirky town.
11. S. P. Dinsmoor's Garden of Eden - Lucas

Of course, while you're in Lucas, you can't help by gawk at
S. P. Dinsmoor's Garden of Eden. Be sure to stop by during their open hours, or just view it from the outside for a little while.
12. Cathedral of the Plains - Victoria

The towering Cathedral of the Plains in Victoria is a fantastic place for a quick photo while you're on the road. The stunning stained glass and towers are the main contributors to its popularity. Where else can you see a church like this?
