AJ Jolly is one of my all-time favorite Kentucky destinations. I have spent countless nights camping there, long afternoons filled with Frisbee golf, and serene days simply dropping a line in the water. While there are plenty of ways to take advantage of the landscape, not much can compare with a walk along the campsite to take in the seasonal foliage. Beyond being a perfect nature getaway, the Kentucky park also comes complete with a wide range of other activities such as several baseball fields and other areas that are ideal for smaller children.

What is your favorite place to spend an afternoon in Kentucky? For my money, AJ Jolly is right at the top of the list because of the diverse list of activities that this hidden gem park in Kentucky a true standout. With over 50 acres to explore, the land open to the public includes fields, forests, and wetland habitats.

The main area has two main walking trails for visitors to explore as well as a playground and a recreation center. For a park open to the public in 1963, AJ Jolly gives you everything you could want in a Kentucky park. Next time you find yourself in Campbell County, make the drive south to AJ Jolly to see why I think it is the single best park in The Bluegrass State! Just be sure to bring the sunscreen.
