Parents are always on the hunt for a new adventure the kids will enjoy. Your neighborhood playground is probably a popular spot to visit, but not all playgrounds are equal. There are a few inclusive playgrounds in Louisiana, and if you’re from northern Louisiana you’re probably familiar with a popular Kiroli Park. For the southern half of the state, there’s one inclusive playground in Louisiana that allows kids of all ages and abilities to enjoy the space. Let’s check it out:
The playground is fully handicap accessible and boasts over 8,000 square feet of safety surface and numerous transfer stations and ramps throughout the park.
Missing Pieces Playground has a wheelchair-accessible see-saw, a zipline with a bucket seat for kids with limited core strength, an auto-sensory quiet cove, educational play panels, and so much more.
It's free to enter and there are plenty of benches (both covered and uncovered) so parents can sit, have snacks ready, and more.
Have you ever visited Missing Pieces Playground? Let me know in the comments below! If you’ve never been before, you’re in for a real treat! After your visit, head over to nearby New Orleans and enjoy the city. To get you started, here are some of my favorite things to do in New Orleans as well as some of the best restaurants.
