The Louisiana Park Is Worth Driving Across The State To Explore
There are 21 state parks in Louisiana, and each one of them is worthy of a road trip. The park I’m featuring today, however, is not one of them! This hidden park in Louisiana is so remote, most people don’t even know it exists…but for the few that do, they know what a special spot it is. Surrounded by sugar cane fields and water, Burns Point Park is worth driving across the state to explore, so pack some road trip snacks and let’s check it out:

You’ll find this hidden park in Louisiana at the very end of Highway 317. This is one of those places where you’ll want to make sure you’ve got all the road trip essentials and plenty of snacks before you arrive. It’s pretty remote!

If you’ve ever launched your boat from Cypremort Point and headed down from Vermilion Bay, then you’ve probably seen this campground from your boat and never knew

RV slots and primitive tent camping are available here, and both have electric hookups. It’s cash only to reserve your spot, and it’s about $15 for an RV and about $10 for a tent site. Unfortunately, there are no cabins at Burns Point. If you're looking for a cabin, I'd suggest you head just a tad north over to Cypremort Point State Park.
