Encompassing nearly 99,000 acres, the state of Maryland is home to 54 state parks. Impressive, right? There are so many options to spend time outdoors including camping. Here are some of the best state park campgrounds in Maryland:

• Park Info: Martinak State Park is located in the small town of Denton along the Choptank River and Watts Creek.

Martinak State Park is a beautiful state park with access to water for boating and fishing.
