The state of Massachusetts is filled with hiking trails for all to enjoy. There are intense hikes like the Grace A. Robson Sanctuary Trail and the Ice Glen Trail, and then there are quick, easy paths that will take you on a relaxing walk through nature. These types of peaceful hikes are some of my favorites. One of these short but sweet trails is located in the little town of Hadley.

Have you visited the Fort River Birding and Nature Trail? What types of wildlife did you see? The Fort River Birding and Nature Trail is part of the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. More information about the refuge can be found on the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge website.

If you enjoyed this trail and would like to explore other wildlife areas, please check out the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield and the Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield.
