There is so much to love about hiking, but my favorite part is always the rewarding view from the summit. There is absolutely nothing like it! We have already told you about the gorgeous panoramic views on hikes such as the Skyline Trail in Milton, Mount Watatic near Ashburnham, and Gooseberry Island near Buzzards Bay… but did you know that there is also a mountain in the Pioneer Valley where you can see views of several New England States?
Peaked (pronounced “pea-kid”) is a beautiful hike in the Pioneer Valley near the town of Monson, Massachusetts.
On a clear day, you can see majestic mountains in four New England states: Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire, Shenipsit State Forest in Connecticut, Mount Wachusett in Massachusetts, and the Green Mountains in Vermont.
The grounds along the way are well-maintained and the trails are well-marked.
