I don’t know about your family, but mine can never decide on a place to go out to eat. We sometimes spend so much time debating where to dine, we eventually give up and order a pizza instead. Thankfully, I have discovered a place that caters to everybody’s palates and culinary wishes. The Lot on South Main in Middleton, Massachusetts is our new go-to spot for lunch or dinner!
The Lot on South Main is located just off Route 114 in the town of Middleton.

Turn off of this busy street and into The Lot and you will find a quiet, wooded area where you can enjoy a great outdoor meal. There are currently four food trucks parked at The Lot. Each truck offers something vastly different from the others. Try one or sample a menu item from all four!
Salty’s Lobster Shack is my family’s favorite food truck at The Lot on South Main. One bite of that first decadent lobster roll and we were hooked!
Salty’s also prepares lobster in many other yummy ways. Lobster bisque, lobster panini, and lobster tots (tater tots topped with lobster) are some of the wonderful choices. Salty’s also has clams, oysters, shrimp, and other seafood menu items.

The carnivores in your family will love the chicken sandwiches at the Chicken & The Pig food truck. There are nine different hand-breaded sandwiches to choose from.

Chicken & The Pig also serves specialty hot dogs and delicious waffle fries.
The last time that I visited The Lot, I tried a burrito from Taco Libre.
This delicious meal was massive and so flavorful. With several options to pick your base meal (tacos, gorditas, flautas, bowls, etc…) and fresh fillings, you just can’t go wrong at this authentic Mexican eatery.
And then there is Goodfellows, a unique food truck that features grass-fed smash burgers and tasty sandwiches.
Be sure to stop here for some great food and a little nostalgia. The menu items are all named for '80s and '90s music, movies, and television references. Goodfellows also has a children’s menu as well as vegetarian and gluten-free menu choices.
After everyone in your party has visited their favorite food truck, you can take your meals over to “the grove” picnic area where you have the choice of either a table with or without a shaded umbrella.

The Lot has free parking and a full-service restroom. It is also dog-friendly.
Have you visited The Lot? If so, what food truck was your favorite? More information about this fantastic dining destination including hours and days of operation for the individual trucks can be found on The Lot at South Main’s website.
Another great place in Massachusetts to enjoy food trucks is the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston. If you are looking for a great dessert spot near The Lot, just cross the street and you are at Richardson’s Ice Cream.
