I don’t know about you, but whenever I find myself in one of the delightful small towns that dot the Land of 10,000 Lakes, I find myself looking for some small-town, scratch made cooking. And more often than not, those towns do not disappoint, as most have at least one church, one bar, and one homestyle restaurant in Minnesota. In the community of Sacred Heart, a village of just over 500 hundred people in western Minnesota’s Renville County, that restaurant is Kathy’s Place.

You certainly won’t leave Kathy’s Place hungry – well, you shouldn’t anyway… you can always order seconds or thirds! Check out the restaurant’s Facebook page for more information and to get a feel for its homestyle fare. If you’re not a Renville County resident, you’ll find Kathy’s Place right on U.S. Route 212 in Sacred Heart, so it’s a perfect place for a pit stop on any road trip to or through this part of the state.

Have you had an opportunity to eat at Kathy’s Place? Let us know in the comments, and if you have other favorite homestyle restaurants in Minnesota that you think we should know about, tell us about them, too!
