Arboretums are great spots to spend a quiet afternoon. These tranquil locations are often overlooked when it comes to nature trails, which is great for those who venture out because you’ll likely have the trails all to yourself. If you find yourself needing a little more nature in your life, consider heading over to the Simmons Arboretum for an afternoon of peace and quiet.
The Simmons Arboretum has been a favorite for Madison residents for at least 20 years now.
These trails are kid-friendly, too, and a great area to introduce the next generation of nature lovers! And since the trail isn’t that long, you can the family can quickly knock this out in about an hour. You can peep a trail map on AllTrails, and while you're at it, you may want to sign up for AllTrails + so you can unlock even more features.
