Ice cream is a year-round treat, but it just hits the spot on a hot day, and boy oh boy have we had some hot days recently. There’s one special spot that’s my favorite place to get ice cream in Mississippi, and next time you’re in the area, I hope you swing by and give them a try!
Quakes Ice Creamery has been an Ocean Springs favorite for over 20 years.
Easily some of the best ice cream in Mississippi, but we'll let you be the judge.
They’ve had so much success that they were able to expand and open a second location in Biloxi, much to the delight of Gulf Coast residents and tourists on the hunt for a sweet treat to beat the heat.
These flavored frozen custards are piled to the brim with perfect pairings, like the Brown Noser (pictured above). It all starts with vanilla custard resting on a warm fudge brownie and then it’s topped with hot fudge, caramel, whipped cream, and pecans. Yes, please!
Whether you’re in the mood for something fruity or something chocolatey, Quakes serves several different flavors, and when you think about all the toppings they offer, the possibilities here are endless!
Check out the Quakes Facebook Page for a full menu and then take a road trip over! While you’re exploring the Gulf Coast, you can always spend a night or two at the Harbor Oaks. It’s just steps to Front Beach and the downtown scene.
Visit the Quakes Ice Cream website to check out a full menu, and be sure to follow Quakes on Facebook, too!
