Those who love the full spectrum of seasons will find that Montana is absolutely perfect. Gorgeous fall foliage, followed by snowy winters, green springs, and epic summers mean you can enjoy everything you love about the outdoors all year long. For many that means continuing to hit the trails even with snow on the ground. But, some people just want to continue to take in the fresh air and trees surrounding them. For that, I love visiting the Yellowstone Arboretum. It’s located within ZooMontana, a 70-acre wildlife park in Billings. Most people visit to see animals in their natural habitat, but it’s worth carving out some time to enjoy this arboretum in Montana, too.

Yellowstone Arboretum is open throughout the year but operates at different hours depending on the season. To see hours and plan your visit, be sure to visit the Yellowstone Arboretum website. For information on special events, you’ll want to follow Yellowstone Arboretum on Facebook. They can be reached at 406-652-8100.

After enjoying a visit to this arboretum in Montana, start making plans to visit other gardens in the state. There are plenty of parks and gardens in Montana, so be sure to start knocking them off your list.
