There's also a designated area at Slackland Beach Park for bank fishing. Types of fish that are available to catch include bluegill, catfish, black crappie, largemouth bass, and striped bass.

Keep in mind, like other Alabama parks, Slackland Beach Park has a few rules visitors must follow. For example, anything you bring inside the park, you must take with you. Also, no alcohol, firearms, pets, or glass containers are allowed. Visitors are also not allowed to play loud music or camp overnight.
