We have all heard it, and most of us have said it. Go big or go home! And a lot of establishments, restaurants included, feel the need to do that – to have the biggest space, the flashiest offerings, the most famous names. All of that can be exciting, and it definitely draws a crowd. But it doesn’t guarantee a great experience. Go big or go home? This tiny restaurant in Reno, NV, is turning that saying on its head, and proving you don’t have to go big to go great.
Sierra St Kitchen and Cocktails is an unassuming restaurant located right on the scenic Truckee Riverwalk in downtown Reno.
The presentation at Sierra St says fine dining and the dynamic flavors do not disappoint. From short ribs to pasta, and steamed clams to street tacos, there is something here to suit any taste or food mood.
The small dining room - especially by typical steakhouse standards - is warm and inviting, with leather chairs, a cozy bar, a brick accent wall, and a cool embossed black ceiling. Not exactly dark, but dark enough for a warm, intimate ambiance.
The menu has a long list of hot and cold Tapas - or small bites - and sharable dishes, including Stuffed Mushroom caps, Kobe Sliders, Prime Filet Tips, Ahi Tar Tar, and Burrata Salad.
This Reno eatery is almost always busy and proving that you can find awesome things in unexpected (and small!) places. Have you ever eaten here? Please share your thoughts with us!
