Summertime brings about so many outdoor activities including summer festivals! And while the Land of Enchantment hosts its fair share of festivals and events throughout the year, there’s just something about attending a festival during the summer months. One unique festival in New Mexico you may want to consider attending in August is wacky and wonderful and I think you’ll want to go.
Have you ever been to a pirate festival? How about a Viking festival? Well, you can attend a pirate and Viking festival this summer in New Mexico and it's sure to be a wacky and wonderful time!
In August this year, Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood, New Mexico will host the 4th Annual Pirate & Viking Summer Festival. Guaranteed you've never attended a festival like this one before.
The dates are Saturday and Sunday, August 19th and 20th, 2023. Hours for the event on Saturday are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards fundraising for the Wildlife West Nature Park Zoo and its rescued animals. So, not only will you have a good time at this festival, but you'll be helping zoo animals too!
The Pirate & Viking Summer Festival is a fun-filled event for all ages. Get dressed up as a Viking or a pirate and participate in the revelry of this festive event.
There will be stages showcasing talented entertainers, beer taverns with mead and craft beer, food stalls, sword dancing, craft vendors, incredibly fun games, and so much more! So, what are you waiting for? Purchase your tickets and see you in August!
