Want to build your own seafood buffet, New Orleans style? Head over to The Boil Shack, where you can have an authentic Cajun-style seafood experience, all without leaving New York State. We think it might just be the best seafood restaurant in Albany and the surrounding area. To learn more about this special establishment, keep reading, below.
The Boil Shack is a Cajun-influenced spot that does Louisiana-style seafood and a whole lot more—all using fresh ingredients that are sourced locally and regionally.
The restaurant’s seafood boil experience has plenty of variety to choose from. Each boil comes with two halves potato, one piece of corn, and two beef sausage slices. If you want to add a boiled egg or ramen, it’s only $2 more.
Just look at that menu! We recommend Combo #1, which is $38 and comes with one pound of crawfish, one pound of shrimp, eight beef sausage pieces, four pieces of corn, and four potatoes.
There is even plenty to pick from when it comes to sauces: there’s dry, crafty cajun, buttery garlic, lemon pepper, old bay and, finally, explosion—that’s all of the above, all at once. You can choose from different levels of spice, too—light spice all the way to what The Boil Shack calls “Punish Me!”
Not in the mood for a seafood boil? The establishment has a cold seafood bar and plenty of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and entrees. The Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese sounds really tasty!
