What does a great hike look like? Well, there are a lot of different ways to have one, but we will try to take a stab at what we think the ideal summer hike situation might be: it’s physically challenging, but not so much that you can’t have a fun time, and it comes with some amazing views. The Anthony’s Nose trail checks all of those boxes and more. It’s quite possibly the best hiking trail in the Hudson Valley. For more information on this great trail, keep reading below.
Anthony’s Nose is a two mile out-and-back trail close to the town of Cold Spring, New York. You enter through the Route 9D trailhead.
The trail is considered by most to be a moderately challenging route, and takes roughly an hour and 20 minutes to finish. Have a dog? Bring them along! They must be on a leash, though.
Once you get to the top, you will be greeted with unforgettable views of the Bear Mountain Bridge and the Hudson River! These views are worth the hike alone.
For those searching for a fantastic hike, look no further than the Anthony’s Nose trail. While in the Hudson Valley region, why not check out this legally haunted house? Or, if that’s not your speed, you can always dine at Ca’Mea Ristorante, which has some of the best pasta in the region. Looking to find a place to stay in the region? We recommend The Wick, Hudson, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
