It’s a perfect place to share a variety of small plates with your friends. BackBar serves mostly East and Southeast Asian dishes, including dan dan noodles, summer miso noodles, and seasonal sweet pickles.
Cocktails are creative but not overbearing, and provide refreshment on a summer night. Here Comes Brenda is made with dark and pineapple rums, velvet falernum and lime and grapefruit bitters. They also have beers and, perhaps most notably, a selection of slushies! We recommend Where There’s Smoke, which is made with mezcal and smoked agave.
In addition to more traditional Asian bites, BackBar also serves a smash burger, which is made with local beef, special space and a house Hawaiian bun. We recommend you try it with the added kimchi. Then there are the cumin-spiced tots, which is a great play on an American classic.
