Well, neither am I, so it’s pretty much perfect up here. One of the most spellbindingly beautiful places in North Dakota is one of its lakes. Nestled in the scenic, gorgeous Turtle Mountains, Lake Metigoshe is easily one of the most beautiful places on the northern Plains – and it’s all ours! It’s one of the most popular destinations in the state – but considering that our state doesn’t see an enormous number of visitors, that’s pretty wonderful, and we might as well enjoy it, right? And since we’re here, I went ahead and found an absolutely breathtaking vacation home rental near Lake Metigoshe that’s perfect for families, groups, or anyone else just hoping to escape. It's no secret at all that Lake Metigoshe is an outrageously appealing destination; it's gorgeous, and it's the ultimate escape without getting too far away (if you live here, anyway - otherwise it might be a bit of an adventure).
I mean, I think the Tommy Turtle Statue is definitely silly... but it's also worth checking out, even if just for funsies. You'll find him in Bottineau not far from the lake, creating smiles and just being himself in the best of ways.
What? Don't judge me. You know that statue's awesome. Anyway, I digress. Let's get back to the lake.

And yes, when I say it's on the lake - I mean it's right up on the lake. There's an awesome view of the water from many rooms in the house, and the patio is absolutely awesome beyond all reason.

The space is huge, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's perfect for groups - especially families - though nothing and nobody is stopping you from making this one a solo adventure.
Few things are as relaxing as chilling out beside the water, and here, you'll be able to do that day in and day out. You can even do it at night, heck, who's checking? The endless stars overhead are to die for.
Lake Metigoshe is home to some amazing swimming, camping, hiking, fishing, and almost anything else your heart desires (within reason, anyway). You could easily spend days here.
Boaters will love the boat ramps and marinas. If you've never let your feet dip into the water while lying on your back in a small boat, you haven't lived.
