The culinary world is constantly evolving; It always has, and it always will. One of the current trends in the world of dining and restaurants is the rise in popularity of food trucks. Turns out, some of the best food in the world comes from food trucks! There’s one in particular up here in North Dakota that I’d like to take a moment to appreciate: Anybody on the hunt for the best barbecue in North Dakota deserves to head to Dickinson and check out York’s Barbecue Pit, which has been serving up little slices of heaven for a while now.

Though you might find it in different places, many things will always be the same.

First and foremost, as soon as you park you'll smell it: the incredibly heavenly scent of smoked meats galore, from brisket to ribs and chicken and everything in between.
Personally, my favorites tend to be the classics: ribs. Brisket. You know, the best.

I also can't get enough of the smoked chicken, which seems to be a favorite among other customers, as well.
....oh, and also, the burnt ends are to die for, but I digress: There's nothing on the menu you can go wrong with.

You can order all sorts of goodies in numerous different combinations, with everything from a one-meat plate to a four-meat plate. Chicken and rib platters are also a go-to.
The sandwiches, too, are a must.

Look at me, over here rambling about food again... but truly, what this little spot lacks in sitting room, it more than makes up for in vivid, brilliant flavor.
So make sure to bring your appetite when you come out: You're definitely going to need it!

York’s Barbeque Pit is so mom-and-pop that it doesn’t even have an official website, but if you bookmark the the food truck’s Facebook page, you’ll find that they let you know where the truck will be daily.
