]]>While you really can’t go wrong, one of the largest and best pumpkin patches in Oregon is The Pumpkin Patch, located on Sauvie Island, just outside Portland, Oregon’s city center. What I love about this farm, in addition to the stunning bounty of bright orange pumpkins, is the great range of other fun fall activities that are also available. Many of which are free of charge.
You’ll find farm animals, a produce market, corn maze, food stand, cafe, hay rides, gift shop, flowers, squash in a rainbow of colors, and so much more! So, head to The Pumpkin Patch for the perfect pre-Halloween day trip.
For more information, check out The Pumpkin Patch website. Why not incorporate a visit into a fun fall staycation? Leave a comment to let us know about your favorite pumpkin patch — and how you like to carve your pumpkin!

]]>This inviting, sleek brewpub takes bar food to a whole new level. Grand Fir Brewing’s appeal can be summed up this way: fresh ingredients, creative, expertly prepared dishes, and a changing menu that keeps getting better and better.
Run by owners brewmaster Whitney Burnside and chef Doug Adams, Grand Fir Brewing offers fabulous eats, alongside expertly brewed beers and craft cocktails. Its food is deliciously simple with a twist and just done right. Essentially, the menu is elevated from typical bar food because of the care put into the flavors, paring of ingredients, preparation, presentation, and service.
