We can all probably agree that Pennsylvanians are a diverse bunch. No matter what corner of the state we live in, we’re all different, and that’s what makes Pennsylvania so unique and wonderful. However, there are some things to which we can all relate and experiences we all share as Pennsylvanians. Here are just a few photos that you’ll likely only understand if you hail from Pennsylvania.

Western Pennsylvania's home to a town full of Marians. Yep, that's what the residents of the darling small town of Mars are called. If you visit during the Mars New Year celebration, you might see a green Martian from another planet in front of that spaceship.
It's known as the Space Acorn in Kecksburg, the site where a UFO crash landed in the mid-20th century. Years later, the hugely-popular television show Unsolved Mysteries came to town to film about the Kecksburg UFO. The acorn is a replica of what the townspeople said they saw.

Living in the Snack Capital of the U.S. naturally means we love goodies. More proof? If you live in the Pittsburgh area, you're all about the cookie table. Cookie tables have been a part of wedding receptions since, well, the beginning of time.
Once upon a time - and perhaps the tradition continues in some school districts - schools were closed on the Monday after Thanksgiving for the first day of deer-hunting season.
If you live in or near or travel through Pittsburgh, you've likely sat at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel. Chances are pretty good you waited...and waited...and waited as traffic stalled getting to the tunnel. Maybe there really is a tunnel monster.
If you live in the Southwestern part of the state, you might have a Pittsburgh toilet in the basement. Attractive? Maybe not. Convenient? Most definitely.
It's rather fitting that the world's largest pothole (Archbald Pothole) is right here in Pennsylvania. After all, those of us who live in Pennsylvania have become expert pothole dodgers.
Soda versus pop. Wawa versus Sheetz. Hoagie versus sub. Phillies versus Steelers.
