Every season in Rhode Island has its own striking beauty. But there’s just something special about summer, especially for those of us who love the pop of color that comes with it. We have so many beautiful trails in Rhode Island, too, to admire the vibrant wildflowers that brighten the landscape. Stroll past the pretty wildflowers on this scenic hiking trail in Little Compton, Rhode Island.
Wandering 2.3 miles through Simmons Mill Pond Management Area, Farmsite Simmons Pond Loop Trail is short, sweet, and easy. It's also brimming with natural beauty.
Take a breather on a bench made from white pine. While you'll only need around 45 minutes to hike this trail, you might want to carve out more time to just soak up all that it has to offer.
Those who have hiked with a stroller say it is possible, although the path can be a bit bumpy.
While you'll definitely want to take a stroll during the summer to see the wildflowers, make a note to return for the fall foliage and the winter snow.
