South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
Whether your favorite season is fall or your preference is a different time of year, there’s something to embrace and enjoy in each season if you’re willing to see it! Someone once said, “With the changing seasons come new beginnings… ” If nothing else, perhaps this fall season will bring a beautiful new beginning your way. And what about the rich fall hues we see as the leaves change from green to various tones of orange, yellow, or red? Do you have a favorite fall color? Or maybe you love the mosaic of all of them working together to create a gorgeous masterpiece. We probably all have our favorite types of spots to see fall foliage in South Carolina, but there are some places where you can enjoy nature’s display of the season without feeling so crowded (like you do at other spots), such as at the Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site.

There’s also a fishing pond and picnic shelters at the Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site if you’d like to bring along your fishing pole and a lunch. You could easily spend several hours here.
