With a 2021 population of only 124, the tiny town of Vance is one of South Carolina’s smallest towns. And while there truly is not a whole lot to be found in there, you would be remiss to overlook this little corner of the state completely. In fact, some of the best soul food in South Carolina is found at a restaurant there, and it’s worth a look.
You'll find Emeri's Eatery on Old Number Six Highway in the town of Vance. It's a newer South Carolina soul food restaurant, having opened in 2019, and while it's nothing fancy, it's established quite a reputation amongst its customers.
Portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. You'll also find a nice friendly atmosphere, just like you'd expect from a place serving delicious soul food in South Carolina.
You can order a meat and three special or a basket and other items from the standard menu. Daily specials are announced on the diner's Facebook page. You can call-in your order on most days, and delivery options may sometimes be available.
