South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
What used to be Citizens Bank on East Main Street in downtown Rock Hill is now a French bakery and café called Amélie’s. The building is over 80 years old, has five stories, and underwent major renovations after it was purchased from the city in 2005 totaling $1 million. Amélie’s occupies the first and second floors of the building, and perhaps one of the coolest, most unique features of this Rock Hill bakery is its use of the large vault that was preserved.

If you haven’t been there yet, perhaps a road trip is in order. Pack up some road trip snacks and check out Ebenezer Park Beach for an afternoon of fun while you’re there. It’s a gorgeous inland beach with the most amazing 10,000-square-foot circular pier!
