There’s something so very enchanting about small towns, isn’t there? Sometimes, the smaller the better – you can find some true gems hidden among some of the state’s least-populated towns. Take, for example, the tiny community of Hermosa. It’s one of the prettiest tiny towns in South Dakota, and with a population of just over 380 people (as of 2020), it’s one of our state’s smallest. Don’t assume that means that it isn’t worth visiting, though; in fact, Hermosa makes for a cute day trip in South Dakota with plenty of attractions in and near town.
