Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Redfield, South Dakota is a cute little town with a population of around 2,100 people. There’s not a lot going on here – though it is a wonderful little place to settle down – but there is at least one thing that keeps folks coming back time and time again. It’s the local hole-in-the-wall, much beloved by those who call this town home, and it’s a totally charming little mom-and-pop restaurant in South Dakota waiting to be discovered. Come check out Leo’s Good Food (whose name is quite apropos) and see what I mean: You’re sure to leave full and happy!
I'm pretty sure I've never written about a restaurant whose name is more appropriate.
The food served up here is most certainly very, very good, and it's all served in a down-home, quaint atmosphere that'll remind you of the good ol' days.
It's a no-muss, no-fuss sort of spot with a great menu and the friendliest faces in the Dakotas.
Open from 5:30 in the morning until 8 at night, this adorable little place offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner - which is awesome and kind of makes me want to just show up every day.

...or at least for every meal a couple times a week. You know, whatever we're able to do.
Let's say you were to do this - become a regular. Familiarize yourself with all the goodies on the menu. Then, order one of everything over time and realize this: There are no poor choices to be made.
What the spot lacks in "pizazz" or "atmosphere" it more than makes up for with its wholesomeness, and the meals you can choose from are all pure perfection crafted with nothing but love.
Redfield is a small town where there's nothing much going on, but if there's anything that keeps folks coming on back, it's Leo's. (Road trip anyone?!)
The portion sizes are enormous - about as huge as the smiles on the faces of the kind, friendly staff you'll be greeted with.
Leo’s Good Food is such a mom-and-pop stop that it doesn’t have an official website, but it does update its Leo’s Good Food Facebook page each day, so I recommend following along for the latest deals and specials. Where are your favorite places to get comfort food in South Dakota? Have you ever tried Leo’s? Let me know!
