Wings Over Camarillo is an exciting annual air show that takes place at the Camarillo Airport in Ventura County. This year is the 42nd annual air show and takes place on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, 2023. Gates open to visitors at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
The Central Coast’s premier air show brings together families, plane and car enthusiasts, airshow fans, veterans, and more for a weekend of high-octane entertainment and activities. From historic planes to military aircraft, guests will be awed by high-flying performances and acrobatics.
The theme of the 2023 air show is “Honoring Our Korean War Veterans.” Visitors will enjoy a Korean War Remembrance Flight performance featuring the A-26, Corsair I, Mig-17, and F-86 planes.
On the ground, there will be hundreds of aircraft to view, explore, and learn about. Real pilots will be on hand to chat with visitors, and the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Pavilion will provide hands-on learning.
In addition to exciting aircraft flights, people of every age will get a thrill from parachute teams jumping in formation (you can meet them on the ground, too!)
Wings Over Camarillo is more than just an air show! For one, it is also a classic car show. The Grand Marshall of this year’s Classic Car Parade is the legendary Elmer “Royce” Williams.
