Calling all Fixer-Upper fans! Texas’ favorite power couple is back with their newest venture: Hotel 1928 Waco. Opening this fall, this century-old social club has been restored to its former glory and effortlessly combines modern luxury with historic charm. With three restaurants, a library, and stunning architectural details, this hotel has it all. As an unabashed fan of the Gainses, I absolutely cannot wait to stay here.
If you've ever wanted to stay in a fixer-upper, now's your chance.
Reservations are officially open for Hotel 1928, Chip and Joanna Gaines' new business venture.
Nestled in the grand shadow of Baylor University, the hotel is located in the former Grand Karem Shrine Building, which was built in 1928 (hence the name of the hotel) as a social club.
Modeled after an early twentieth-century Moorish Revival lodge, Hotel 1928 will continue the legacy left behind by its predecessor and be a place where people come together to rejuvenate their sprits and enjoy life's simple pleasures.

A step back in time awaits you as soon as you enter the lobby.
Chip's elbow grease and Joanna's incredible eye for interior design combine in a truly magical way, offering the perfect marriage of historic charm and timeless elegance - plus, of course, all of the modern conveniences one could possibly need or want.
There are four different types of rooms available to suit the needs of every guest.
From standard rooms with either one king or two queen beds to spacious suites (and even a group suite that sleeps up to 12 guests), comfort is paramount and luxury is the name of the game. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, high-end bath items, and so much more.
When you aren't relaxing in your room, you'll definitely want to spend some time exploring the hotel.
The architectural resplendence in every room begs to be appreciated, with intricate details that reveal themselves in layers that shift and change each time you pass by. Perhaps you'll curl up by the fireplace in the library and dive into a captivating book...
...or mingle with other guests in one of many common areas.
The hotel also has three onsite restaurants: The Café at Hotel 1928, where you can grab all-day coffee and pastries, The Brasserie at Hotel 1928, which serves up Texas-style Southern comfort food, and Bertie’s on the Rooftop, where seasonal cuisine reigns supreme.
No matter what your Hotel 1928 stay looks like, rest assured it'll be an experience for the books.
Visit the Hotel 1928 Waco website for more information, and/or to book your stay.
