Calling all oenophiles! We all know Texas has some really great wine, and GrapeFest is an annual celebration of that fact. Held every year on the third weekend of September in historic downtown Grapevine, this four-day event features live music, incredible food, wine tastings, and even a grape-stomping competition! Plus, it’s family-friendly, so the whole crew can join in the fun.
Welcome to GrapeFest! The largest wine festival in the southwest, this annual event is returning to Grapevine on September 14-17, 2023.
Going on its 37th year, the festival takes place on the city's historic Main Street and features wines from all over the world (with an emphasis on Texas wines!).
You'd be surprised at how much can be packed into just four days.
Grab a friend for the classic Grape Stomp, which tasks two-person teams with stomping 18 pounds of grapes in just two minutes. How quickly can you stomp? The Champagne Cork Shoot-Off is always a good time, as well.
Live musicians provide nonstop entertainment, and although it is a wine festival, there are plenty of family-friendly attractions.
Visit the Grapevine CVB website or the Visit Grapevine Facebook page for more information about the festival, including ticket prices.
Have you ever been to GrapeFest? If so, we’d love to hear all about your experience in the comments! And be sure to check out Backcountry for comfortable walking shoes – you’ll need them to be on your feet all day!
