Calling all stargazers and nature lovers! Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, Texas appeals to both camps, offering nearly 40 miles of trails that meander through lush wetlands and forests in addition to a world-class observatory. This underrated state park is perfect for a family adventure, so if you have yet to visit (or even if you’ve already been!), I highly suggest adding it to your bucket list.

It's hard to believe this lush oasis is hiding just 45 miles outside of downtown Houston. It boasts a whopping 37 miles of trails for walking, hiking, biking, and horseback riding, and some of them are wheelchair-friendly.

Amateur astronomers help guide you on your journey, showcasing the stars and planets in the most brilliant light possible to give your experience even more meaning.
