Have you been to Alburgh Dunes State Park? Aside from the stunning scenery, you’ll find one of the most remote beaches along Lake Champlain when you head here. Therefore, it’s the ideal destination to avoid crowds while having family fun in the sun. Read on to learn more about why we think this is a must-do outing this summer.
To reach the beach at Alburgh Dunes State Park, take U.S. Route 2 West if you're coming from Burlington. The beach and park are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In addition to splashing around in the water during your family day trip, you can also camp overnight. However, your furry pals will need to stay home.
Since the entire park spans 625 acres, feel free to hike and explore more of this remote part of Vermont during your outing. There's even a path for biking and walking in the park. You can use one of the grills or bring a picnic to enjoy during your beach day as well.
And while summer is the time to go and cool off at this remote beach in Vermont, feel free to head to Alburgh Dunes State Park anytime to watch the sunset.
