Are you planning an autumn day trip? Nowhere does fall better than Bailey Farm, one of the largest pumpkin patches in Washington. Located on 350 acres of stunning farmland, the Bailey U-pick is brimming with family-friendly fun that will surely get you in the harvest spirit this season. Even better, this autumnal haven is just a stone’s throw from the charming town of Snohomish. Recharge at one of its numerous delicious eateries following your pumpkin patch adventures!
Though the Bailey Farm has been family-owned and operated for five generations, the U-pick garden started in 1986 on just two acres. Since then, the plot has expanded to include 50 acres of mixed vegetables and seasonal fruits open to the public from June through October.
Some neighboring patches implement a carnival theme, transforming their fields with hectic fall festivities. Bailey Farm takes the opposite approach. Admission is free, and activities are stripped back and wholesome. On the weekend, snack on kettle corn, cider, and baked goods.
In addition to selecting their own pumpkins, visitors can pick apples from the Bailey orchard. Beginning in October, varieties like Honeycrisp, Jonagold, and Cosmic Crisp® will be ripe.
And adult guests will love perusing the farm stand, which sells seasonal products made in-house. Not to mention, the adorable displays make fantastic backdrops for obligatory family photos your relatives will treasure.
Few farms capture the cozy nostalgia of fall better than Bailey Farm. Stay tuned to seasonal updates on the Bailey Farm website, and check out this big patch that's managed to maintain its small farm charm.

For many years, Bailey Farm has been one of my favorite places to visit in the fall. Nestled in a stunning, rural landscape with views of the surrounding hills, and right next door to picturesque Snohomish, it is a superb pad to launch your autumnal festivities! Best of all, while it might be one of the largest pumpkin patches in Washington, it’s retained all the earnestness of the farms we loved exploring as children. Visit this season and make memories to last you a lifetime!
