When I feel stressed, one of the best things for my mind and body is to visit a place where things are simple. Small towns are some of my favorite and Carnation, Washington is one small, rural community where it is easy to put the hustle and bustle of daily life behind you. Located just a short drive from Seattle, Carnation is where you can spend a day at the farm, relax with a delicious cup of coffee in your hand, and even head outdoors and enjoy some sunshine. This small town in Washington is where you can truly enjoy the simple things in life.
Carnation is located approximately 30 miles east of Seattle. It is only 1.1 square miles in size and is home to just over 2,200 residents.
It is the kind of small town where you can find peace, quiet, and friendly neighbors. And it is incredibly beautiful. It sits at the Cascade foothills and is situated where the Tolt and Snoqualmie Rivers meet.
No matter where your interests lie and what type of activities help you to de-stress, you’ll find it in Carnation. Simply walk around the gorgeous downtown area or explore the town and admire the historic buildings located along the way.
However, there is nothing quite like spending time outdoors and on the farm. Carnation is located in the most productive agricultural area in King County and is home to all types of u-pick produce and tree farms.
Harvold Berry Farm, Carnation Tree Farm, and Blue Dog Farm are just a few of the farms in the area. Remlinger Farms is one of the most popular for families as it not only offers berry and pumpkin picking, but there are also rides, a brewery, and more.
