If you are like me, there is nothing quite like a summer day at the lake. While several of Washington State’s popular lakes can draw quite a crowd on a summer day, there are a few others that allow for a little more peace and quiet. Lake Quinault is one rural Washington lake that is the perfect place to make a splash. Tucked away in a beautiful rainforest, this lake is where your entire family can have a perfect summer day.
Lake Quinault is located on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington. It sits within the Quinault Rainforest, a temperate rainforest that is absolutely beautiful.
What makes this lake a bit unique is that the Quinault Rainforest completely surrounds this rural body of water, providing exquisite views and exceptional places to explore.
In addition to spending time on Lake Quinault, there is plenty more to do and see in this area. For example, you can tackle one of the many trails that take you right into the heart of the rainforest.
