On the evening of April 18, 1961, Joe Simonton, a chicken farmer, reported that he had a close encounter with an unidentified flying object and its occupants.

According to Simonton, he saw a metallic, disc-shaped object land in his yard, and three humanoid beings emerged from the craft.

Simonton claimed that he gave the occupants of the UFO some water, and in return, they gave him three small, metallic pancakes.

He described the pancakes as being unlike any he had ever seen before, and he ate one – he said it was not very good!
