I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Do you feel the autumn season in the air yet? Well, you should, because the colorful season is coming our way. As the weather continues to get cooler, chances are, you’re thinking about great places in Arkansas to witness breathtaking fall foliage. Of course, we have lots of options from our scenic byways to our state parks as well as our small towns. These places come alive and are bursting with vibrant colors during the fall season. And that’s especially true for Winslow, Arkansas, a scenic town in the Ozarks. This Arkansas autumn town is a photographer’s dream come true and one of the best places to kick off the gorgeous season.
Just 50 miles south of Bentonville, you'll find the tiny, scenic town of Winslow Arkansas. Though it has less than 500 residents, this sleepy little town is a dream come true for lovers of the fall season.
The town comes alive in the autumn, bursting with yellow, orange, and red changing leaves. And its location in the Ozarks makes it an ideal place to witness the best of the season.
The 3-hour trip between Van Buren to Winslow features the most picturesque views of the Ozarks. As you traverse through the Boston Mountains, you'll be mesmerized by the vibrant countryside.
True Outdoor enthusiasts will want to hike to the top of White Rock Mountain. There's no better place to marvel at the season than from 2,260 feet above sea level.
Between the scenic excursions as well as the breathtaking Ozark vistas, I recommend that you add Winslow to your list of towns to explore this fall season.
