So, when we want to chase waterfalls, it’s a great place to discover the most magical cascades that we can imagine. And there is a trail inside the Ozarks that has not one, not two, not three, but four incredible waterfalls and you’ll want to experience it for yourself. Grab your hiking boots and come with me on this adventure to explore Four Falls Trail that could very well be the waterfall capital of Arkansas. Leatherwood Wilderness Area is the largest wilderness area in the Ozarks and perhaps one of the most scenic spots in Arkansas.
However, if you’re an avid hiker, you’ll be able to complete this hike with ease. Bring the pup along for this Ozark adventure.
As you trek, you’ll witness the best of the Ozarks including rock formations, flowing creeks, lush greenery, rock outcroppings, towering bluffs, and more.
Of course, with most waterfalls, you’ll want to visit a day or two after a good rain shower to guarantee maximum flow as shown below with Crosscut Falls.
The water flows through a hole atop a rock outcropping and plunges 18 feet down. If you’ve hiked to the Glory Hole Waterfall, you’ll understand how this tiny cascade got its name.
