I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
There’s nothing quite like spending time basking in nature, surrounded by pretty little rose gardens, lush greenery, fluttering butterflies, and more. If this sounds like the perfect place to rejuvenate your soul, then come with me to explore Ed Leamon Park in Fairfield Bay. This little-known arboretum in Arkansas is a delightful place to escape, take a stroll, and marvel at all the surrounding beauty.
In 1977, the first tree was planted inside this arboretum and garden. Tucked inside the small town of Fairfield Bay is Ed Leamon Park, a tiny haven that's perfect for a lovely stroll or a picnic with the family.
Designed by the Van Buren County Master Gardeners, this award-winning garden boasts rose gardens, a butterfly garden, water features, sculptures, and so much more.
It also offers walking paths, and shaded picnic tables, which makes it the perfect sanctuary to immerse in nature.
The flowing water cascading over the rocks makes for a perfect backdrop for a photo op, so be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the pretty scenes.
There is also a charming gazebo, and both are the perfect spots to take pics, don't you agree?

Aside from the gardens, the water features, and trails, you'll find various species of flowers and trees inside the sanctuary. It’s obvious that the master gardeners took their time to design this beautiful oasis.
Ed Leamon Park might be a little-known arboretum in Arkansas, but it's a great place for families and nature lovers to soak up some beauty.
