Since 1954, Chicago's Museum of Surgical Science has been around to astound locals and teach us just how lucky we are to have modern medicine.
The museum teaches visitors about the history and progress of surgical science around the world as well as about other subjects related to medicine and the medical field.
Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens, students, and military personnel, and $8 for children ages 4-13. Younger children and museum members get in for free.
