There are countless culinary-quality restaurants in the Metroplex that fill the stomach, but a newly-opened one in Fort Worth also warms the heart. Nonprofit Taste Community Restaurant opened with its concept of “pay what you can.” Its mission is to feed and serve Tarrant County’s hungry or those uncertain where their next meal will come from, but it is no ordinary soup kitchen. In fact, it’s downright delicious! Anyone is encouraged to enjoy a healthy, high-quality meal made from seasonal and gourmet ingredients, with no set prices.

The restaurant encourages patrons to become “taste buds” and volunteer time to either pay it forward or simply provide a heartfelt helping hand. For more information on volunteering, as well as the Taste Project as a whole, check out their website here. The only thing more fulfilling than a hearty meal here is knowing that you’re also supporting a wonderful cause in our area!
