Most churches, cathedrals, or temples are located in the city, surrounded by other buildings and homes. However, this temple in Kansas City is uniquely placed in the most unforgettable setting. But that setting isn’t a mountainside or a lake. Instead, this temple is surrounded by open spaces, manicured lawns, and the most beautiful skies in the world. Come check it out!
Atop this pristine white church, we have a golden figure that stands on every LDS Temple across America.
And there's over one hundred of them, this one in Kansas City being the 137th. It sits in Kansas City's Northland, a beautiful place without many buildings to block the view of this church.
Stained glass, gold lettering, and well manicured lawns are the focal point of the building itself, but what's so special about the setting? Well, it's all about the church!

All the trees, grasses, and flowers near the church are maintained to an impeccable level, and there's nothing to block your view.
It really makes it feel like this is more than just a church. Of course, you can see it from a long distance away; there's almost nothing around it to block any angle.
That stunning location I mentioned? Kansas City's natural sky.
Kansas City sunsets are jaw-droppingly gorgeous every day, but pair it with the silent beauty of this temple and you've got yourself a sight you'll never forget.
