There are plenty of incredible options for good food within the Louisville city limits, but it’s also fun to get out a bit and try something new. If you head south for about an hour, you’ll come across the small town of Raywick and if you look closely, you will hopefully find a local favorite, Missy’s Out of the Way Cafe. With “Out of the Way” in its name, you can already tell it’s remote, but what may surprise you are the delicious meals waiting for you inside, definitely making it worth the drive.
Missy's Out of the Way Cafe is a little over an hour south of Louisville and aptly named for its remote location.
But, if you plug the address (listed below) into a GPS, it'll take you right to the front door where you'll find beautiful surroundings and several surprises inside.

The owner opened the restaurant in 2000, has made a few changes over the years, but it remains a quirky spot for some delicious home cooked food.
The restaurant is as well known for its eclectic decor as it is for its mouthwatering ribeye steaks. Missy's is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, so it can be a little crowded because fans of this interesting dining spot flock there during open hours. But there is plenty of space and the staff is efficient, ensuring you have a memorable experience!
From the outside, you would never guess what is hidden behind the doors, from the eclectic decor to the high-quality food.
Missy's is known for its ribeye steaks and they serve them up a number of different ways. Get one with a side of SOB potatoes and you have one heck of a meat and potatoes meal. The ribeye burgers are also delicious, as are the crab cakes, and they also serve up a number of sandwiches and other entrees.
Missy's Out of the Way Cafe may be a bit out of the way for those of us in Louisville, but it would make for a fun weekend night out.
Try something new and head south to Raywick for a one-of-a-kind dining experience in a beautiful part of Kentucky.
