Here in Milwaukee, we enjoy summer at full force! Getting out to the festivals, onto the lake, or sinking into a delicious frozen custard is a part of summer life in MKE. However, there’s one little gem on Layton that truly is a sign of summer. This drive-in offers the best burgers and ice cream (that’s right, not custard) around, and we wait for it to open all winter long. The season wouldn’t be complete without this nostalgic eatery, and that’s why we can’t get enough.

With burgers at just $4, you can't go wrong. This spot is cash only, but you won't have to bring much to fill your belly! These burgers are some of the best in Milwaukee, and rumor has it that even Elvis enjoyed a burger here as his last meal in Brew City.

With a walk-up window and a tiny dining area filled with retro decoration that's always packed, there's nowhere in Milwaukee that feels as '50s as Nite Owl. Just $5 can get you everything from hot dogs to a fish sandwich, though you'll fill up quickly on their handmade jumbo burgers.

This place isn't truly for night owls, as it's open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. They're only open until the fall season begins, so fill up now!
