But there are some spots that are absolutely must-visit for anyone who loves dining out. This timeless restaurant in Saint Paul is one that everyone needs to visit at least once.

Mickey's Diner is located at 36 7th Street West in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

While it's not *technically* in Minneapolis, its location in the other Twin City makes it an easy trek - even if you're really hungry.

So what makes Mickey's so special? For one thing, it's housed in a small 1930s dining car that has been in its location since 1939.

The retro style of the dining car makes it unique among any other Minnesota restaurant. That alone makes it worth a visit.

But Mickey's Diner is special for other reasons, too. The restaurant has not closed its doors since 1939. It's been open 24/7 for nearly 80 years!

It is so entrenched in history that it is even a part of the National Register of Historic Places. The restaurant was added in 1983.
