2. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is great for the entire family. Discovery Cove isn't your typical water park with lazy rivers, water slides or wave pools. It offers something much more unique. At Discovery Cove, you can swim with dolphins, snorkel through a saltwater reef, feed tropical birds and play near otters. There's also a resort-style pool on the property that features beautiful waterfalls. Discovery Cove is a great waterpark for the entire family, and it's also a great place to relax and explore. 5. LEGOLAND Water Park

What can be more fun than LEGOs? Well, a LEGO-themed waterpark of course! LEGOLAND is the ultimate attraction for LEGO fanatics. Located within LEGOLAND is LEGOLAND Water Park. Here at this awesome waterpark, you can build a raft out of soft LEGO bricks and float down the Lazy River, and children love the Joker Soaker play area. Disney's Blizzard Beach is a ski resort themed waterpark. Unlike most waterparks, Blizzard Beach is geared more towards older kids, especially since their water slides have height restrictions. And when it comes to these beaches, there are many different types to choose from – so you shouldn’t have any problem finding the perfect one to spend the day, week, etc.

To help get you started, we’ve listed eight beaches below that are located near Orlando. They’re definitely worth a visit!

1. Lake Baldwin Park

Located in Winter Park, Lake Baldwin Park is the city's only "dog-friendly" park. From 8 a.m. until sunset, dogs are allowed to play unleashed within the park. Lake Baldwin Park is also one of the only two parks in the city that has a beach area.

2. Cocoa Beach

Kiteboarding, parasailing and surfing are popular activities enjoyed by visitors of Cocoa Beach. This popular beach area is well known for its 800-foot pier, and it's also home to the world's largest surf shop - Ron Jon Surf Shop (52,000 sq ft). Cocoa Beach is located in Brevard County.

3. Wekiwa Springs State Park

Wekiwa Springs State Park is located 20 minutes north of Orlando. Its spring pumps out approximately 42 million gallons of water each day to the Wekiva River. This popular swimming area isn't surrounded by a typical sandy beach. Instead, it's enclosed by concrete and a grassy beach area.

4. Daytona Beach

Located nearly an hour from Orlando is the great city of Daytona Beach. This city welcomes many visitors each year primarily because of its beautiful beach.
